Our 30th Anniversary Extravaganza includes an insightful panel with the director and members of the production team, so you can hear the untold stories of Priscilla, plus a special performance from Lismore's Queen of Drag Queens, Maude Boate.

Italy, 1993: youngster Loris Riccardi becomes the art director of a night club destined to become amongst the most transgressive in Europe and certainly the most radical in Italy: Cocoricò. He transorms the dance floor into a place of provocation, where everything is permitted in the name of art.

The Mushroom Whisperers is an audio-visual concert featuring Romano Crivici and Carla Thackrah, the composers behind the magnificent score of Follow The Rain. They are joined by one of Australia’s finest didgeridoo players Mark Atkins, and multi-instrumentalist Jess Ciampa with the quartet bringing you an intimate, immersive live music event, set to the backdrop of stunning timelapse footage from Follow the Rain.

DUSTYESKY MEET ALEKSANDR DOVZHENKO’S EARTH

The much beloved choir Dustyesky return to the stage with their very first film concert! The choir will accompany the screening of the Aleksandr Dovzhenko’s 1930 masterpiece Earth (Zemlya) for an extraordinary meeting of voices and film.
Earth is celebrated by film critics as one of cinema’s supreme visual masterpieces from the acclaimed Ukranian filmmaker Alexander Dovzhenko.

A LOVE LETTER TO MUSICALS WITH SHIRE CHOIR

An ode to the magic of musicals and to singing your heart out. A feature-length sing-along mash-up made of some of the most famous and beloved songs from iconic musicals with each song sung live by a chorus.
This is a one-of-a-kind emphatic love letter to musicals and to singing, created by the Shire Choir for the Bangalow Film Festival. Singalongs encouraged!
A Music and Film Event
JAI PICCONE & NOSFERATU

This special live music-and-film event brings together the multi talented Jai Piccone and F.W. Murnau’s iconic 1922 silent film Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror.
Jai Piccone is an internationally renowned producer and songwriter. Known best for his work with Australian band Tora, Jai more recently has stepped into his own with a collection of diverse electronic releases.
Jai will add a new sonic dimension to one of the most influential horror movies ever produced. Often cited as the movie that gave birth to horror cinema, Nosferatu is an expressionist adaptation of Bram Stoker's gothic tale Dracula.
